Description 
Unbelievable idea -- See this Comm Center message from Stuart Wilson. He has changed the preview image logic to to the size reduction first then the prettifying. This really speeds it up.

Separate but Related Issue






The Sonoita Research guys found that just copying the static preview images was noticeable. See this Comm Center thread by Walt Cooney. I have attached a hacked AcquireScheduler where I commented out the copying. Can I somehow reduce this overhead without broken links or stale info being in the display? Maybe switch the HTML in the browser to point to a static image instead of copying?

OOPS! REOPENED - MIND THE SCHEDULER CHANGE TOO....






See this Comm Center thread by Stephane Basa. It looks like trying to clean up the 128x128 is sketchy. Maybe the DDP and Kernel need different parameters. Or maybe it's simply a bad idea.
