See this Comm Center thread by Geoff Stone and Eric Dose. There should be some way to trigger observations in the "any PA" mode for the mount/rotator. The killer will be all of the logic that monitors the Equatorial angles. If you slew in the "any PA" mode does the returned PA still correspond to Equatorial, or will this cause an apparent change in the PA Bias? If the latter this could become complicated.
