Description
See this Comm Center thread by Stephane Basa. The Astelco telescope/dome controller is integrated so ACP sees only the shutter. For some reason (amazingly) when connecting, it results in a shutter error without even querying the shutter! I was able to repro this on his system with his telescope connected but the Dome SImulator connected through Pipe. It is an ACP problem. Why hasn't this appeared with other roof controllers?

AH!! Unrelated to TCS/Dome system, this is another instance of exactly ACP-1779 (for the dome) "Dome status is not being refreshed, and ShutterStatus is cold-initialized to ShutterError" and similarly ACP-1563 (for the telescope). You'd think I would learn by now. I had to read the code and there and "Woop there it is!"

Anyway Stephane is running the latest ACP (8.3) so the previous mitigation of this (for done, from ACP-1779) is already in his version, and it was fixed back in Now the question is "when was the last time you rebooted?" Maybe it wrapped around.

Reopen ACP-1779 and fix this for good.

Cannot reproduce this here. WIll need more time on his system. For some reason Pipe never even sees the querying of the ShutterStatus. ACP is getting jammed up I am unconvinced that I  have seen the entire issue.
