If the final image plate solution fails, always re-start the AO. Since you cannot tell if the AO has lost lock, the plate solve failure is a probable indication that this happened. For the AO only, if the plate solve fails, restart the AO after every image. Also, maybe try the plate solve again on the next image instead of skipping till the end of the series. This may not be a good idea, so test and think! |
