Note that, as I suspected, the difference between the TDB and "UJD" not super exactly is given in this Comm Center message.

The main difference for TDB is keeping track of the number of leap-seconds at the time of the observation, which is downloadable from here:
http://maia.usno.navy.mil/ser7/tai-utc.dat

Other than that, it is simple offset.

The code is available on the Eastman website here:
http://astroutils.astronomy.ohio-sta...ime/index.html

See this Comm Center thread by Gavin Boyle. AstroImageJ used for exoplanets. It wants BJD_TDB. Add this, and maybe HJD_TDB???

Turned out to be a marathon, updating the Delta-T tables in NOVAS and the astro32.dll. Went up a rabbit hole with NOVAS and VS2015. Forget it for now.

And here is a VB version

See this Comm Center thread by Dick Berg. He has coded the HJD in JavaScript!!

Attached to this ticket too.

Some things done in ACP-1172 by popular demand. The rest of these things, I will recommend UserActions.

They also want AZ and ALT in FITS. See this Comm Center thread. This really needs to be looked at for the first hotfix!

Trappist has again re-iterated the need for focus steps and "many other things".

TRAPPIST has re-iterated the need for Focus Steps.
2/25/2011 8:16:03 AM   Bob Denny
Also from TRAPPIST:
  • also the RA and DEC velocities of moving targets (at start)
  • somes focusers like the Optec TCFS have a temperature probe. Those values could be reported in the fits headers too.
  • in addition to date-OBS it could be useful to have the date at which the file has been written on disk.
  • something also common in pro observatories is to report in the header the distance of the traget to the Moon and the fraction of illumination.
7/23/2010 11:53:00 AM   Bob Denny
Also add current focus position to FITS (from TRAPPIST team)
7/7/2010 3:10:38 AM   Bob Denny
Also JD and Heliocentric Julian Date (HJD), requested by TRAPPIST program.
