See this Comm Center post. To repro the problem:
  1. Install Planner fresh
  2. Start it, immediately open Peferences, turn on Multiple Filters and add the names of a few filters. Close Preferences.
  3. Select Tools, Presets to show the Presets window.
  4. Set exposures for all filters, just select the filters, leave the other numbers as is.
  5. Now right click in the preset list (left pane) of the Presets window, and select New. 
At this point you get an Object Variable or With Block Variable not set. It's fatal.
