Now that Scheduler forms are included in the ACP "fancy" web UI, it's necessary for the filter and binning info to be available when the camera is offline. See this comm center post by Peter Prendergast.
My thought is to have the info read from MaxIm whenever the camera is connected, as it is done now, but then cache it in a file and use that for populating the filter and binning boxes of the forms.
