See this Comm Center thread by Larry Simpson and Konstantin Poschinger. When AutoFocus is disabled, AcquireSupport calls its SetupFocuser() function, and that pops up an alert followed by the Chooser. This is a problem for people who don't have a focuser at all.
Change the logic so that with AF disabled, no focuser is needed at all. Thus any attempt to include #defocus directives will result in a plan failure if AF is disabled.
