See this Comm Center thread by Peter Prendergast. I failed to detect this as a dome error (!!) and it was analyzed by DIck Berg. I've been bit by this in the past. Make Dome errors obvious. If the telescope connects successfully then there are problems with the Dome, make that much clearer.
