See this Comm Center thread for ACP. The Periodic AF interval could be a series.
For Scheduler, how about the series starting at dusk, with the last given interval repeating to complete the night as needed. This could be an interesting strategy for the ACP one too (instead of starting at the time the observing runs starts.
